How
does the Maryland Home Study course satisfy the state Continuing Education requirement?
Answer:
Each loan officer will be provided with state
approved study materials. The study materials will be tailored to
the number of continuing education hours (6 hrs, 20
hrs) required. Once the Loan Officer has completed
the reading material they will take a final exam. Upon
successful completion of the exam the Loan Officer will receive
their Continuing Education Certificate.

is the passing score for the Maryland Continuing Education?
Answer:
You must pass the test with a 70% or better.

How many
times can I retake the Maryland
Continuing Education test?
Answer:
There
is no limit to the amount of times you can retake the
test.
Question:
What is the
passing grade for the North Carolina
Fundamental course?
Answer:
The
test is given by PSI Examination Services, the approved proctor for
the State of North Carolina Commissioner of Banks. In order to
obtain the loan officer license you must have a minimum score
of 80% or better.
Question:
How many times
can I take the NC Fundamental
test?
Answer:
There
is an examination fee of $100.00 each and every time a candidate
takes the exam. In the event the candidate is unsuccessful
passing the exam, the candidate my call PSI examination services the
following day to schedule a retest. For example: if a candidate
takes the test on Wednesday and does not pass, the candidate may
call PSI on Thursday to schedule a retest of the exam as early as
Friday providing space is available.

When do I
receive my certificate?
Answer:
Upon
satisfactory completion of the course the candidate will
receive their certificate.
Question:
Do I have to
complete Maryland Continuing Education every
year?
Answer:
Continuing Education is required as part of the license
renewal process for Mortgage Bankers and Brokers. Every Loan
Officer must complete Continuing Education requirements by December
31st of every odd year.
