Companies holding a Mortgage Lender, Broker, Affiliated Mortgage Banker or Exclusive Mortgage Broker License in North Carolina have until September 30, 2008 to complete and submit through the NMLS: Form MU1 for their company, Form MU2 for the Qualifying Individual, each Control Person(s) and Branch Manager(s), and Form MU3 for each currently licensed branch location.

 Loan officers holding a Loan Officer or Limited Loan Officer License in North Carolina have until

September 30, 2008 to complete and submit a Form MU4 through the NMLS.  Loan officers can complete and submit Form MU4 themselves or their company can complete Form MU4 and have the loan officer log in to the NMLS and electronically attest to its accuracy.

 The NMLS charges a $100 company transition fee, a $20 branch transition fee, and a $30 loan officer transition fee for transitioning each of these license types.  The OCOB will cover the cost of this transition fee for MU Forms submitted on or before September, 20, 2008.
